Cadaadlay, Somaliland (Hornpost) — The Chief of Staff of the Somaliland National Army, Brigadier General Abdirisaq Saed Bulale (Afgudud), conducted a working visit this morning to the Commando Training School in Cadaadlay, as part of ongoing efforts by the army to enhance professionalism, modern readiness, and advanced combat skills.
During the visit, Brig. Gen. Afgudud and a delegation of senior officers from the Somaliland National Army Headquarters assessed the progress of ongoing training programs and met with the school’s leadership and instructors. He commended their dedication and commitment to strengthening the army’s capabilities.
Addressing the commando trainees, the Army Chief of Staff urged them to complete their training with discipline and determination, reminding them of their vital role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“The army is the backbone of the nation. The defense of your country depends on your endurance, courage, and professionalism. You must be ready to protect your borders and the peace of your people,” said Brig. Gen. Afgudud.
The Cadaadlay Commando Training School provides specialized training for elite units of the Somaliland National Army, focusing on high-level combat readiness, tactical operations, and national defense preparedness.
The inspection highlights the commitment of the Somaliland Armed Forces Command to be developing a modern, well-trained, and mission-ready military force capable of defending the Republic of Somaliland and ensuring national stability.
