Hargiesa (Hornpost) the government of Somaliland speaking about yesterday’s war between the national forces and the SSC-Khatumo area of Dhur-madare in Sanag region, said that it broke out after militias supported by Somalia attacked herdsmen.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Defense of Somaliland said that the Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, who recently visited the city of Las’anod, was organizing this war to create chaos in Somaliland.
“Such actions are a threat to the security of the region, and they are against the principles of independence and neighborly relations, at a time when Somaliland is at the forefront of peace and cooperation in the Horn of Africa, this incitement of conflict undermines peace efforts, said the press release.
The government of Somaliland also said that it is committed to defend its territorial independence and its people, and that it is promoting peaceful coexistence in the region.

On the other hand, Somaliland called on the international community to be aware of this crisis and take measures to control it.
