Commando Training in Cadaadley Gets High-Level Inspection from Top Officials.

Hargeisa (Horn post) The Somaliland Ministry of Defense, together with the Commander of the Somaliland National Army, on Tuesday conducted an inspection visit to the Commando Training School in Cadaadley District, where elite forces are being trained to strengthen national and border security.

The Minister of Defense, Mohamed Yusuf Ali, accompanied by the Commander of the National Army, Major General Nimcan Yusuf Gahnug, along with senior military officers, toured the facility to assess the overall condition of the school, the level of training provided to recruits, the quality of instructors, and the equipment used in the training programs.

During the visit, officials received detailed briefings from the school’s commanders and training officers on the progress of the courses, existing challenges, and areas requiring further support to enhance the efficiency and standards of military training.

Minister Mohamed Yusuf Ali commended the efforts of the instructors and military trainers, emphasizing that improving the quality of training is a cornerstone of strengthening national security. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to upgrading training institutions, equipping the armed forces, and enhancing the discipline, skills, and professionalism of Somaliland’s soldiers.

For his part, Major General Nimcan Yusuf Gahnug urged the trainees to fully utilize the training opportunities and to uphold discipline, patriotism, and dedication to national service. He also noted that the army leadership continues to prioritize improving both the working and living conditions of the National Army.

The inspection forms part of Somaliland’s ongoing efforts to build a well-trained, capable, and professional force ready to defend the country’s borders and maintain overall security.
