Hargeisa (Horn post) The Somaliland National Army today carried out a planned security operation targeting an armed group responsible for the killing of two civilians.

The Somaliland National Army today carried out a planned security operation targeting an armed group responsible for the killing of two civilians.
The operation took place in Indho Biraale area of Saylac District, where the armed group confronted national forces with armed resistance while troops were executing their constitutional duty to maintain security and public order.
During the operation, the Somaliland National Army successfully arrested several members of the criminal group and seized the weapons in their possession.
As a result of the armed confrontation, two members of the armed group were killed, while four others sustained injuries.
The Somaliland National Army reiterated a strong warning to any individuals or groups attempting to undermine peace and stability, particularly in the western regions of the country, stressing that strict legal action will be taken in accordance with national laws and the Constitution.
The National Army assured the public that it will continue security operations aimed at safeguarding peace, stability, and the protection of citizens’ lives and property across the Republic of Somaliland.
