Somaliland Education Minister Honors female Teacher for Dedication to Early Childhood Education.

HARGEISA, Somaliland — The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Somaliland, Ismail Duale Yusuf, on Thursday received and honored a teacher recognized for her commitment to student development at Abdaal School in the Sahil region.

 

The minister hosted Umalkhayr Khadar, an early childhood educator at Abdaal, praising her exceptional efforts in advancing both academic learning and moral development among young students.

 

During the meeting, Yusuf commanded Umalkhayr Khadar’s professionalism, patience and dedication, describing her as a model educator who demonstrates strong national responsibility and care for her pupils. He noted that her work goes beyond delivering lessons, highlighting her role in nurturing discipline, ethics and a sense of responsibility among children.

 

“Your tireless commitment to teaching and shaping the character of students reflects the true value of education,” the minister said, emphasizing that educators play a central role in building a generation capable of driving national progress.
