President of the Republic of Somaliland Attends World Governments Summit in Dubai for Second Consecutive Year.
Dubai, UAE (Horn post) The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), has attended the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai for the second consecutive year, according to an official statement from the Somaliland Presidency.
The World Governments Summit is one of the world’s most prominent global forums, focusing on modern leadership, good governance, state-building, innovation, and future global trends. The annual event brings together heads of state and government, senior policymakers, ministers, global experts, business leaders, and representatives of major international institutions.
This year’s summit attracted thousands of participants, reflecting its growing influence in shaping global policy discussions and international development agendas. Somaliland’s continued participation highlights its increasing engagement with international platforms and global governance dialogues.
During the summit, President Cirro is expected to hold a series of high-level meetings with international leaders and senior officials, where he will present Somaliland’s progress in peace, stability, governance, and its long-term development vision.

The presidential delegation accompanying President Cirro includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Minister of the Presidency, the Minister of Minerals and Energy, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, the Chief of Staff to the President, the Ambassador of Somaliland to the United Arab Emirates, and the Presidential Adviser on Foreign Affairs.
