Hargeisa – (Hornpost) The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro, today participated in the graduation ceremony of the 14th cohort of the Civil Service Institute (CSI).
This year, 485 students graduated from the institute, having completed Level 1 and Level 2 diploma programs. Notably, 80% of the graduates are current government employees.
President’s Remarks:

Congratulated the graduating students, their parents, and the instructors who trained them.
Encouraged the graduates to continue their hard work and to use their knowledge in service of their country and people.
Emphasized that civil servants are the backbone of statehood, and that their knowledge and skills directly impact the quality of public service, administrative transparency, and national development.

The President commended the Civil Service Institute (CSI) for its crucial role in developing the skills of government employees. He advised the institute to:

Conduct in-depth research that can inform and support national development initiatives.
On National Resources and Self-Reliance:
The President also highlighted that Somaliland is a resource-rich nation blessed with diverse and abundant natural wealth. He urged citizens to rely on themselves and to harness the country’s resources, in order to reduce dependence on foreign aid and imported food.
