Kisumu, Kenya – (Hornpost) The Ambassador of the Republic of Somaliland to Kenya, Mr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omar, today delivered a message of condolence from the President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), to the family of the late former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Amolo Odinga.
Ambassador Mohamed Abdillahi Omar began his visit to the city of Kisumu before traveling overland to Bondo, where he met with the late leader’s widow, Mrs. Ida Odinga, his children, and other family members. The Ambassador conveyed the heartfelt condolences of President Cirro and the people of Somaliland.
During the visit, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro) personally spoke by phone with Mrs. Ida Odinga and her children, expressing his deep sorrow and sympathy over the passing of Kenya’s distinguished statesman, Raila Odinga.
President Cirro paid tribute to Raila Odinga’s historic role in advancing democracy and national unity in Kenya and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and goodwill that the late leader consistently extended toward the people and government of Somaliland.
The message of condolence from the President of Somaliland reflects the spirit of friendship and mutual respect that continues to strengthen the ties between Somaliland and Kenya.
