Hargeisa (Hornpost) The Chairman of the KAAH Party, Mr. Mahamoud Haashi Abdi, has issued a press release responding to threats made by politicians who were contesting for an administration to be established in Las Anod, who had threatened to seize the city of Erigavo through war.
The KAAH Chairman reminded that the people of Erigavo are indigenous residents who had long ago made decisions about their own destiny.

“Urgent Release
The remarks made today by those who spoke at the Las Anod platform carried messages of incitement, hostility, and calls for civil conflict. Unfortunately, such sentiments do not serve the interests of the kinship and neighboring communities who need one another. Instead, they are driven by selfish ambitions and misguided agendas aimed at propping up the weak administration of Hassan Sheikh of Somalia.
Sanag and Eastern Sool are territories that fall within the legal boundaries of the Republic of Somaliland. Therefore, disputes and disagreements should be resolved through dialogue and fraternal arbitration.
On the other hand, I must strongly emphasize that Erigavo does not need imported conflict but rather peace, prosperity, and livelihood. To those men who are fueling calls for war, I say: beware, do not carry burdens that no one will help you unload, for the inevitable is like dry-season fodder.
Finally, I reiterate: Erigavo is not a newly discovered territory; it is the same as yesterday, and the people of Erigavo are not migrants but the same people who have long shaped its destiny. Let no one underestimate them.”
Chairman of KAAH Party Somaliland, Mr. Mahamoud Haashi Abdi
