Hargeisa (Hornpost.net /.com) The Minister of Justice of Somaliland Mr. Yonis Ahmed Yonis presided over a session where a new leadership was elected by the Somaliland Lawyers’ License and Ethics Committee.

Today’s session of the Somaliland Lawyers Licensing and Discipline Committee held at the Office of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Somaliland has elected a new chairman who will lead the Lawyers Licensing and Discipline Committee.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Justice of Somaliland, Mr. Yonis Ahmed Yonis, and the Director General of the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Abdi Hashi, and the Secretary of the Somaliland Layers Association and attended by the members of the Committee, which empowers the Minister of Justice to convene the meeting. Committee as stipulated in the Amendment and supplement of the Law on Lawyers Act No: 30/2004

In this session, the new chairman of the licensing and ethics committee of Somaliland lawyers, Lawyer Hamse Mohamud Hassan, was elected as the former chairman resigned from the position and membership of the committee, Mr. Mohamed Osman Hassan.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Yonis Ahmed Yonis urged the committee to speed up the work of the committee and the duties given by the Somaliland Lawyers Act
