Hargeisa (hornpost.com/) The government of Somaliland has given a strong response to a statement from the regional administration of Somalia in Puntland, which is in the ongoing war against the Daesh group.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Information of Somaliland Ahmed Yasin Sheekh Ali Ayanle in response to the statement from the Garowe Administration reads as follows.
“The Republic of Somaliland is a country where security is the official capital of its history. Also, the whole world recognized it as the most stable place in the corner of #Africa, and its neighboring countries would like to enjoy peace and stability.
The Republic of Somaliland has a long history of fighting terrorism and piracy and has distanced itself from its country, and its efforts to prevent terrorism have become a fence for the entire region.
Article 10 paragraph 7 of constitution of the Republic of Somaliland states: “The government of the Republic of Somaliland opposes acts of terrorism for any purpose.”
Somaliland is the only country in the region whose constitution mandates the fight against terrorism.
Therefore, the Government of the Republic of Somaliland is always committed to fighting terrorism, and has effective cooperation with neighboring countries. Finally, there is something surprising about the accusations of insanity and prejudice that show the hidden selfishness that has been coming from Puntland regional government of Somalia for the past few days, who have been accusing Somaliland of something that Somaliland have no culture, and it is not possible and we can describe “speech that has no place in”.
