Washington (Hornpost.com) A meeting yesterday at the White House between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose aim was to get the United States access to rare mineral rights in Ukraine, turned into a heated exchange between the two leaders
And Trump said to Zelenskyy, “Are you going to make an agreement or we’re out of work”.
In a statement posted on social media after the meeting, President Trump said that the proposed agreement has disappeared.
Trump said “I have decided that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if the United States is involved, because he feels that our participation will give him a great benefit in the negotiations,”
The heated exchange of words between these leaders took 40 minutes in the Oval Office of the White House.

President Donald Trump and US Vice President JD Vance have both criticized Zelenskyy for being rewarded for supporting the United States.
Zelenskyy, who also made heated arguments that were sometimes discussed by the leaders, left the White House early, and canceled a joint press conference for the leaders.
Trump later told reporters before leaving the White House that the talks “didn’t go right ‘not.” Trump said that if the United States signed the mining agreement, it would be something he would be happy about, but he did not want to sign before he confirmed that the war in Ukraine could stop and Zelenesky was not ready for peace.
This heated exchange unfolded as Zelenskyy walked out without signing a critical minerals deal that Trump had pushed as a condition for future U.S. support.
