Israeli Military Says It Is Interrogating Three Hezbollah Fighters After Surrender in Southern Lebanon.

IDF says Givati Brigade engaged Hezbollah militants in Bint Jbeil as ground operations intensify in southern Lebanon

JERUSALEM (Horn post) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Tuesday that it is interrogating three Hezbollah fighters who surrendered during clashes in southern Lebanon and were subsequently transferred into Israeli custody.

IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on social media platform X that troops from the Givati Brigade engaged in close-range combat with Hezbollah operatives, including members of the group’s elite Radwan Force, in the town of Bint Jbeil.

According to the IDF, the encounter ended with three-armed militants surrendering to Israeli forces. The detainees were then transferred to Unit 504, the military intelligence unit responsible for field interrogations, for further questioning.

The Israeli military said its forces are currently operating around Bint Jbeil, describing the activity as part of an expanded ground operation in southern Lebanon. The statement did not provide independent verification of battlefield conditions or Hezbollah’s account of the clashes.

Hezbollah has not issued an immediate public response regarding the reported incident.

The developments come amid ongoing cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which has intensified along the Israel-Lebanon frontier in recent weeks.
