Hargeisa – (Hornpost) – The Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Subcommittee of Somaliland’s House of Elders today held an informative session with the Minister of Planning and National Development, Mrs. Kaltun Sheikh Hassan Abdi. The meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Director General, Mr. Mohamed Saed Mahmoud, and several departmental directors.
The briefing focused on the Ministry’s ongoing projects, national development plans, and its role in coordinating development initiatives and international cooperation.
The Committee’s Chairman, Mr. Abdiqadir Mohamed Hassan (Indho-Indho), expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the update, highlighting the importance of fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between national institutions.
Minister Kaltun Sheikh Hassan Abdi and Director General Mohamed Saed Mahmoud thanked the Committee for the warm reception and the opportunity to share the Ministry’s work and responsibilities with the House of Elders.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, reinforcing cooperation between the legislative and executive branches of the government.
