Dubai (Hornpost) President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), who is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, is among the high-profile guests scheduled to address the upcoming Africa–UAE Debate on September 30.
The forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the UAE and African nations to foster sustainable investment.
According to the official website of the event, the international debate is organized by the UAE and will focus on finance, digital innovation, and strategic investment.
The statement noted that delegations participating in the Africa–UAE Debate will gain direct access to investors and market leaders from both regions, enabling the exchange of valuable insights on the future of trade and investment between Africa and the Emirates.
President Cirro is expected to highlight Somaliland’s achievements, its growing role in regional and global peace, and the country’s commitment to attracting strategic investments in its abundant untapped resources.
Key themes to be discussed at the summit include:
- Strengthening economic ties between Africa and the UAE.
- Advancing investment in renewable energy.
- Joint utilization of infrastructure and logistics, including ports, transport, and market connectivity.
- Promoting ICT development and digital transformation.
- Boosting agricultural productivity and food security.
- Leveraging the Africa–UAE trade agreement for mutual benefit.
