Hargeisa (Hornpost) The National Assets Protection and Audit Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland held a working meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Finance Development. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland in Hargeisa.
The National Assets Protection and Audit Committee, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Jama Liiban, invited the officials of the Ministry of Finance Development, led by the Minister of Finance Mr. Abdillahi Hassan Aden. The meeting also included the Deputy Minister of Finance, the National Accountant General, the Director-General of the Ministry, and some of the heads of departments within the Ministry.
The purpose of the meeting included a variety of topics, the most prominent of which were:
Introduction of the Committee and the new leadership of the Ministry,
General report on the country’s economic situation,
Income and expenditure report for the first six months of 2025,
Implementation of the House’s resolutions regarding the government’s financial statement for the fiscal year 2022, and Plans for cooperation between the Committee and the Ministry.
At the conclusion of the meeting, which lasted for several hours, both parties reached a mutual understanding and agreed to work closely together. The Committee presented important recommendations and points, which were accepted by the Ministry of Finance officials.
