Hargeisa (Hornpost ) – The Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdilaahi Hassan Aden, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Taiwan to Somaliland in his office.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Taiwan thanked the Government of the Republic of Somaliland, especially the Ministry of Finance, for the good cooperation between them, and the Ambassador also noted the commitment of the Government of Taiwan to support and cooperate with the Republic of Somaliland and how happy they are with the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
The Minister of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Somaliland, for his part, thanked the Government of Taiwan and its Embassy in Hargeisa for their extensive support, and the Minister also thanked the Ambassador of the Republic of Taiwan for development projects including; scholarships, medical equipment, the construction of Hargeisa Hospital, financial support for the 2024 elections, and the construction of economic infrastructure including the construction of the Hargeisa Airport Road.
Finally, the Ambassador handed over to the Minister a donation of 2,500,000 dollars from the Government of Taiwan to contribute to the benefit and assistance of humanitarian activities in Somaliland.
