Mohamed Hassan Saed, a member of Somaliland’s House of Representatives with Kerry McCarthy, the Member of Parliament.

BRISTOL, United Kingdom (Horn Post)— Mohamed Hassan Saed, a member of Somaliland’s House of Representatives currently visiting the United Kingdom, held talks with British lawmakers in Parliament as part of efforts to strengthen international engagement and support for Somaliland.

During his visit to the UK Parliament, Mohamed Hassan Saed met with Kerry McCarthy, the Member of Parliament representing Bristol and a longtime supporter of Somaliland’s cause and recognition efforts.

McCarthy has been an active advocate for Somaliland within the British Parliament and is part of a cross-party group of MPs that supports closer relations and recognition for Somaliland.

The Somaliland lawmaker thanked McCarthy for her continued and outspoken support for Somaliland, highlighting the importance of international partnerships and diplomatic engagement.

PM Mohamed Hassan Saed also briefed the British MP on recent political developments in Somaliland and discussed expectations that more countries could move toward recognizing Somaliland in the near future.

The meeting concluded positively, reflecting growing dialogue between Somaliland representatives and British policymakers on regional stability, democracy and international cooperation.
