HARGEISA (Horn post) Abdirahman Dahir Aden, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland on Sunday received viral runner Mohamed Ahmed Aw Ali at the ministry’s headquarters in Hargeisa.
The meeting, attended by Director General Mohamed Abdirahman Hassan, comes as Ordaaye gains widespread attention for his running videos, which have rapidly circulated on social media and attracted interest from international companies and prominent football clubs.
Minister Aden praised Ordaaye’s determination, resilience and courage, noting his achievements despite living with special needs. He reaffirmed the government’s support, stating that both the nation and the Foreign Ministry stand ready to assist him and that the ministry’s doors remain open.
Ordaaye expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the meeting as a significant moment and a meaningful show of support. He pledged to represent Somaliland with pride wherever he goes and called on citizens to continue encouraging and supporting him.
