Doha, Qatar – [Hornpost] The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdilaahi Cirro, today held a historic high-level meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, in Doha.
The meeting marked a significant step in fostering bilateral relations between the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Qatar. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in key areas including trade, infrastructure development, energy, education, and investment, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to advancing mutual economic interests and promoting regional stability.

Reaffirming Somaliland’s commitment to regional peace, President Cirro stated:
“Somaliland remains dedicated to playing a constructive and peaceful role in the Horn of Africa and in finding solutions to the challenges facing the region.”
