Mogadishu (Hornpost) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent conflict in the Gedo region.
President Hassan Sheikh also instructed Somali forces who had crossed into the neighboring country of Kenya to return to their original locations within Somalia. He assured us that no punitive actions would be taken against them and guaranteed their safety and security upon their return.
Furthermore, the President directed the Federal Government of Somalia to deliver medical aid and humanitarian assistance to those affected by the situation in Gedo, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing of its citizens during this difficult time.
