Cairo, Egypt (Hornpost) President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt on an official visit, where he was warmly received in the coastal city of Al-Alamein. The visit comes at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
During his stay, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to meet with President El-Sisi to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in key areas including security, economic development, education, and regional affairs.
President Hassan Sheikh expressed his gratitude to the Government of Egypt for the warm reception and the official hospitality extended to the Somali delegation. He noted that the warm welcome reflects the deep-rooted historical and brotherly ties between the peoples of Somalia and Egypt.
The two leaders are expected to engage in high-level discussions aimed at reinforcing mutual interests and deepening strategic collaboration between the two nations.
