Addis Ababa (Hornpost) His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, has arrived in Addis Ababa.
Upon landing, the Head of State was warmly welcomed by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed at airport.
His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh will also participate in the official inauguration of the Great Dam of the Ethiopian Renaissance (GERD) which will take place on Tuesday, September 09, 2025.
1st level public building, the GERD is assigned to the preliminary imperative to remedy the fracture state characterizing Ethiopia in terms of access to electricity for its population.
All so will participate in relations to a summit of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Africa, which intends to breathe a new dynamic into a strategic partnership already in place between the two geographical orders.
This CARICOM-Africa Summit is therefore a new step in the desire of both parties to promote South-South cooperation and to call on their wishes for global economic developments that are more equitable and inclusive.
The second event the President of the Republic will participate in in Addis Ababa is about an African Climate Summit.
