Hargeisa (Hornpost) The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), today received at the Presidential Palace a large delegation representing various countries and continents, including Africa, Asia, the USA, and Europe (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, USA, Qatar, China, India, and Austria). The delegation was led by the PLO Lumumba Foundation.
The President and the delegation discussed investment opportunities in the vast untapped resources available in the Republic of Somaliland.
The President welcomed the delegation and encouraged them to invest in Somaliland, particularly in the areas of energy, production, and natural resources, which represent wide and untapped opportunities that require investment and can be transformed into economic growth and job creation for the people of Somaliland, leading to tangible development.
The President underlined that Somaliland enjoys peace, stability, reliable political order, good governance, and a democratic system — factors that make it possible to establish meaningful investments beneficial to both sides.
For their part, the broad delegation from the various countries and continents thanked the President of Somaliland for the warm reception and fruitful discussions.
They pledged to thoroughly explore the different investment opportunities available in Somaliland, particularly in energy, production, natural resources, and infrastructure. They also acknowledged that Somaliland is a peaceful, stable, and politically steady country — conditions that encourage and attract international investment.
