Netanyahu Says Iran’s Capabilities Degraded, Vows to Reshape Middle East
JERUSALEM (Horn post) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran is no longer capable of achieving its strategic objectives, following what he described as significant Israeli actions that have weakened Tehran’s capabilities.
Speaking during a press briefing, Netanyahu stated that Israel had “degraded Iran’s capabilities to a very large extent,” adding that this has prevented the country from carrying out what he referred to as its original plans.
“Iran sought to destroy thousands of buildings in Israel, but instead, the consequences have been seen in Lebanon and inside Iran itself,” Netanyahu said, without providing detailed evidence to support the claim.
He further asserted that Iran is now “weaker than ever before,” while emphasizing that Israel’s strength has increased amid ongoing regional tensions.
“We will change the Middle East, and I stand by that promise,” Netanyahu added, signaling Israel’s intent to pursue broader strategic goals in the region.
The remarks come as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate, with both sides engaged in indirect confrontations across multiple fronts, including in Lebanon.
Netanyahu did not elaborate on specific military operations but framed the developments as part of Israel’s broader effort to counter Iranian influence and threats in the region.
