
TEHRAN (Horn post) Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for national unity and reconciliation in a message marking the Nowruz celebrations, urging citizens to set aside divisions and strengthen social cohesion.
In a brief statement posted on the social media platform X, the president encouraged Iranians to move beyond “hatred, resentment, and embrace unity. “With the arrival of Nowruz, let us try to put aside animosity he wrote, emphasizing the importance of solidarity during a period of internal and regional challenges.
Pezeshkian said the country needs the spirit of Nowruz “more than ever,” describing it as a symbol of unity, togetherness, and peaceful coexistence rooted in Iran’s cultural traditions. He called on citizens to work collectively to navigate ongoing difficulties, adding: “Let us join hands to take pride in Iran and guide it through the storms we face.”
In a separate video message released during the Nowruz occasion, the Iranian president also addressed regional relations, stating that Tehran is not seeking tensions with neighboring countries and remains open to resolving disputes through dialogue.
He further expressed hope that longstanding issues, including governance challenges and corruption affecting Iran’s external relations, could be addressed through cooperation and reform.
The remarks come amid continued geopolitical sensitivities in the region, with Iran signaling a willingness to pursue stability and constructive engagement with its neighbors.
