Cardiff (Hornpost) – On Thursday, 26th June 2025, during the Cardiff Council Full Council Meeting, I had the honour of seconding a motion of appreciation and acknowledgment for the brave servicemen and servicewomen from Cardiff, particularly the Tiger Bay who served during World War I and World War II.
This motion was recognition of their courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy, ensuring that their contributions are remembered and respected across generations.
Councilor Saed Ibrahim of the Cardiff Local Council gave a speech at today’s council session and talked about the heroes of the British Empire who fought in the 1st and 2 world wars, which had a major role in the Republic of Somaliland.
