Hargeisa (Hornpost) the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Dahir Adan Bakal, has arrived in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, on a working visit leading a high-level delegation. The delegation includes the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mr. Khadar Hussein Abdi; the Commander of the Somaliland Coast Guard, Brigadier General Ahmed Hurre Harriye; and the President’s Advisor on International Relations, Ambassador Mohamed Haji.
Upon their arrival in Taipei, the delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, Ambassador François Chihchung Wu, along with other senior officials from the Taiwanese government. Also present to welcome the delegation were the Ambassador of Somaliland to Taiwan, Mr. Mahmoud Adan Jama Galaal, and the Ambassador of Taiwan to Somaliland, Mr. Allen C. Lou.
The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
