London (Hornpost) Gavin Williamson, a member of the United Kingdom Parliament, said that it is time for the world to return to reality and recognize the Republic of Somaliland.
Gavin Williamson said that there is no need for Somaliland, which is the source of stability and democracy in the Horn of Africa, to be supported by Somalia, a failed country that perpetuates terrorism to the rest of the world.
MP Gavin, speaking at a ceremony to commemorate the 18th of May, held in London, said that it is unfortunate that the British, seeing Somaliland, are paying billions of money to the Mogadishu government, which does not control land outside the presidential palace.
Gavin Williamson added that it is time for the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia to face the reality and recognize the Republic of Somaliland which has earned recognition for what it has achieved in the past 34 years and has rebuilt its country previously destroyed Somalia.
The MP praised Somaliland for the government and the elections of people and votes that its leaders take over.

Other distinguished leaders were attended such as Richard Semitego Public Governor, The Rt Hon MP, the Shadow Minister for Africa – Rt Hon Wendy Morton MP, Kim Johnson MP, These leaders whom made speeches at event called on the world leaders to give recognition to Somaliland as a government and said that it is worth the world to recognize the people of Somaliland for their efforts.
Somaliland Ministers, and numerous UK Members of Parliament and dignitaries at the Somaliland Independence Day Reception held yesterday at the UK Parliament.
In the last 34 years, Somaliland has been a bright state in the Horn of Africa where there are many conflicts.
