The Somaliland government has not released any information about the delegation and military officers visiting the United States, and in recent times the media has been reporting news that US President Donald Trump, who recognizes the issue of Somaliland’s independence, which was part of his election program prepared by intellectuals who think about the politics of the Republican Party, will replace Somaliland with a military base in the port city of Berbera.
The US Congress has also been presented with a bill recognizing the Republic of Somaliland as an independent country, which was presented in the US Congress.
