Hargeisa (Hornpost.net / .com) A woman who heads a prison in England has been brought to court accusing her of releasing a drug dealer she had an affair with after he gave her a Mercedes car worth £12,000.
Kerri Pegg, 42, was considered an active member as she was promoted to close jobs until she finally became the prison warden.
But she was accused of breaking the rules after starting a relationship with inmate Anthony Saunderson, who gave her an expensive car while she was head of a prison in Lancashire.
When police raided her home in Orrell, Wigan, they found a toothbrush that had been detected by DNA haiddes, the court said. Ms Pegg has denied two charges, one of which is a violation of the law.
