The President of Somaliland held a meeting with the Peace Committee of the Republic of Somaliland

Hargeisa (hornpost.com/) the President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Cirro) (along with the Minister of the Presidency, the Speaker and the Secretary of the President) today held an important meeting with the Peace Committee of the Republic of Somaliland appointed by the President at the Presidential Palace.

The President told the Peace Committee of Somaliland that the purpose of establishing them is to create an environment of peace based on dialogue, understanding, and social participation so that the nation of the Republic of Somaliland can achieve peace and stability in all regions of the country at end.

The President told the members of the Peace Committee that they have a legal personality who is responsible for promoting peace, stability and maintaining the unity of the Republic of Somaliland.

On the other hand, the President told the members of the Peace Committee that the establishment of the Peace Committee has had a great international impact, as they are National Elders who have a name and honor in the Somaliland community. The President told the Peace Committee that they are expected to be the leaders in the efforts of the Somaliland Government in peace, conflict resolution and reconciliation of our society, especially in the areas where there are conflicts.

The President told the Peace Committee that his Government will not spare anything from the Committee in order to have full power to facilitate peace talks and create forums and a dialogue environment to strengthen peace and stability in the community and prevent conflicts and conflicts in the areas of the Republic of Somaliland;

The Peace Committee of the Republic of Somaliland also informed the President about the efforts and the latest steps taken by the Committee to start paving the way for peace talks between the parties concerned, especially the cultural leaders from the areas where there are violence.

The Peace Committee of the Republic of Somaliland has assured the President that as a committee they will double the performance of the heavy duty entrusted by the President, especially the holding, facilitation and fruition of peace meetings and negotiations with the communities affected by the conflicts.
