Hargeisa (Hornpost.com) the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro) appointed the Commander of the Somaliland Military Force, the youngest officer to hold that position, Brigadier General, Niman Yusuf Osman Gahanuug, on the other hand, the Commander of the Somaliland Police Force appointed the Spokesman of the Somaliland Military Force, Brigadier General, Abdirahman Abdillahi Hassan Allale (Abdi Dheere).
This below Presidential Nomination Decree:
“The president issued a presidential decree today on 23/01/2025 issued a decree with the symbol JSL/XM/WM/222-0047/012025 appointing him as the Commander of the National Army and the Commander of the Police Force. .
It was according to the President’s Decree as follows:-

When I was satisfied: Their knowledge, ability, self-sacrifice and work experience, and they can fulfill the duties & responsibilities resulting from these positions;

- That Brigadier General, Niman Yusuf Osman Gahanuug should be the Commander of the National Army of the Republic of Somaliland.
- That Brigadier General, Abdirahman Abdillahi Hassan Allale (Abdi Dheere) should be the Commander of the Police Force of the Republic of Somaliland.
- That Sergeant Major, Nuh Ismail Tani should be the Presidential Adviser on the Affairs of the National Army of the Republic of Somaliland.
- That Sergeant Major, Mohamed Adan Saqadhi, be the Presidential Adviser on Police Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland.
