Somaliland Officials Welcome Water Experts Returning from Israel Training.
HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) — Senior Somaliland government officials on Wednesday welcomed a delegation of water sector experts returning from a capacity-building program in Israel, aimed at strengthening water management and planning across the country.
The delegation was received at Egal International Airport by the Director General of the Ministry of Water Development, Adan Abdalle, alongside senior officials including the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Abdirahman, the Director General of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Abdirashid Abdi Jama, and Somaliland’s Ambassador-designate to Israel, Mohamed Haji.
The returning experts had completed specialized training focused on water resource management and strategic planning. Officials said the program was conducted successfully and is expected to significantly enhance the development and delivery of water services nationwide.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Somaliland government to build institutional capacity and improve access to sustainable water resources through international cooperation and technical expertise.
