HARGEISA – (Hornpost) The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi, returned to the country today following an official foreign trip.
Upon his arrival at Egal International Airport, the Vice President was accorded a warm reception by senior government and political leaders. Those present to welcome him included the Chairman of the Waddani Party, Hon. Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ali Hamud Jibril, members of the Council of Ministers, Directors General, and the Governors of Marodijeh and Togdher regions.
Officials who spoke briefly during the reception expressed their appreciation for the Vice President’s leadership and welcomed his safe return to the country, highlighting the importance of continued national unity and cooperation.
In his remarks, Vice President Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi thanked the officials and citizens who participated in the reception, describing it as a sign of solidarity and shared responsibility in advancing the nation’s interests.
The Vice President also offered prayers to Allah (SWT), asking for relief from the severe drought currently affecting all regions of Somaliland, and calling for rain, resilience, and sustainable recovery for the country and its people.
