New York (Hornpost) The draft, submitted by the United States, endorses former President Donald Trump’s new Gaza peace framework. It calls for the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) and the creation of an interim governing authority for Gaza.
According to Washington, several unnamed countries have already expressed willingness to contribute troops to the ISF, though it remains unclear whether the force would be mandated to disarm Hamas or operate strictly as a peacekeeping mission.
The ISF’s formation is a central pillar of Trump’s 20-point plan, which last month led to a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas after two years of conflict.
If passed, the resolution would also strengthen the pathway toward establishing a Palestinian state — a move Israel firmly opposes.
