Mogadishu, 20 October 2025 – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Salah Jama, conducted an official inspection today at the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing.
He was warmly received by the Minister of the Ministry, Dr. Cilmi Mahmud Nur, the Deputy Minister of Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Gaaraxo, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Farah Abdinur Ahmed, and other senior officials of the ministry and project leaders.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed key development projects, including the Nagaad Project, which focuses on the construction of roads and dams across various regions of Somalia.
Reports and visuals were also presented, highlighting the ministry’s performance within the framework of the Dan-Qaran Program, which plays an important role in developing economic infrastructure and social services.
The Minister, Dr. Cilmi Mahmud Nur, expressed appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for his visit and noted that the ministry is committed to transparency, accountability, and fulfilling government pledges, to strengthen ongoing reconstruction and housing efforts for the Somali people.
