Hargeisa, (Hornpost) October 8, 2025 – The 37th session of the Somaliland Council of Ministers, chaired by the Vice President and Acting President, H.E. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi, was held today at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa.
The meeting reviewed key national updates on security, economy, drought response, healthcare, and foreign affairs.
Minister of interior and security reported that the country’s overall security and political stability remain strong, with peace initiatives in Erigavo progressing well.
Economic reports indicated steady revenue growth and fiscal stability, while updates on drought relief confirmed ongoing humanitarian operations in the eastern regions.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed the Cabinet on the continued progress in Somaliland’s international recognition efforts and strengthening of diplomatic relations.
The Minister of Health highlighted improvements in public health services, particularly maternal and childcare, vaccination, and disease prevention.
