Doha (Hornpost) On the second day of his official visit to Qatar, Djibouti Minister of Communication in charge of Posts and Telecommunications Radwan Abdillahi Bahdon met with his Qatari Telecommunications and Information Technology counterpart Mohamed ben Ali ben in Doha on Monday. Accompanied by the Director General of Radio and Television of Djibouti, Aden Abdi Djama, and Djibouti’s Ambassador to Doha, Dayeb Doubed Robleh, the minister highlighted the memorandum of understanding already signed between the two countries, presented as the basis for an expanded partnership. The discussions focused on the exchange of expertise, transfer of know-how and the implementation of common projects in a sector considered strategic for national development and sovereignty.
“We want to go beyond the technical aspects and build a shared vision,” M said. Bahdon, who also expressed Djibouti’s “strong condemnation” following the recent attack targeting the State of Qatar.
His Qatari counterpart hailed the support and reaffirmed his commitment to “sustainably consolidating” the partnership. According to a diplomatic source, the Djibouti ambassador has been tasked with ensuring operational follow-up of the mentioned projects.
This step is part of a series of interviews engaged by the Djibouti Minister since his arrival in Doha, during a visit marked by the willingness of the two countries to strengthen ties in information technology.
