Ankara (Hornpost) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a meeting in Ankara with his counterpart, the President of the brotherly nation of Turkey, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The two leaders discussed a range of issues, including strengthening the strategic relations between the two countries, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in the areas of security and the elimination of the Khawarij (extremist groups).
The meeting took place at a time when the agreement previously brokered by Turkey between Ethiopia and Somalia has collapsed.
