Somaliland ruling Party WADDANI Strengthens Ties with Civil Society at Danwadaag Unity Reception.
HARGEISA – (Horn post) The Chairman of the ruling Party WADDANI of Somaliland, Mr. Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, on Tuesday hosted a dinner reception in honour of the unity of the Danwadaag umbrella organizations operating in the regions of Maroodijeex, Togdheer and Awdal.
The event was aimed at strengthening cooperation between civil society organizations and the WADDANI Party, while recognizing the vital role played by community-based networks in promoting social development, civic engagement and democratic values in Somaliland.
The gathering was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the WADDANI Party, Mr. Abdirashid Mohamed Haji Yusuf, the Ministers of the Ministry of National Planning and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Family, the National Chairperson of the WADDANI Women’s Wing, Ms. Fosiya Keyse, the Chairperson and Director of the Nafis Network, the Executive Director of Nafis Network, as well as the Director of the WADDANI Party’s Central Headquarters.
Speaking at the event, speakers emphasized the importance of unity among Danwadaag umbrella organizations and called for closer collaboration with political parties to enhance public participation, social cohesion and sustainable development.
