ABU DHABI (Horn Post) – President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday received Turkish Foreign Minister His Excellency Hakan Fidan at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and key regional issues.
At the outset of the meeting, Minister Fidan conveyed the greetings of Turkish President His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. His Highness asked the Foreign Minister to pass on his warm regards to President Erdoğan, along with his best wishes for Türkiye’s further growth and development.
The discussions focused on UAE–Türkiye relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties within the framework of the strategic partnership and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
The meeting also addressed developments in the Middle East, particularly efforts to uphold the ceasefire in Gaza and respond to the worsening humanitarian situation. The two sides stressed the urgent need to ensure the swift and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in need.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Minister Fidan further emphasized the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, which they described as the only viable path to long-term regional stability and to fulfilling the aspirations of peoples across the region for security, development, and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and a number of senior officials.
