Hargeisa (hornpost.com/) The Government of the Republic of Somaliland has warmly welcomed the role played by U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating the ceasefire agreement that brought an end to the recent conflict in Gaza and enabled the exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hamas.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
the government described the Gaza ceasefire deal as “an important step toward achieving lasting stability and peace.”
“The Republic of Somaliland commends President Donald Trump for his leadership in promoting dialogue and peace through negotiation,” the Ministry said in its statement.
The statement further underlined Somaliland’s support for all international efforts aimed at ensuring sustainable peace in the Middle East, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to global cooperation based on mutual respect, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence.
