Hargeisa (Hornpost.com) the 8th session of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Somaliland chaired by the President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Cirro) together with the Vice President Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi was held at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Somaliland.
The agenda of today’s Council of Ministers meeting consisted of important issues for the country and the people.

Minister of Security and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland Abdalla Mohamed Arab
The Minister of Security and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland Abdalla Mohamed Arab reported the general security of the country to the Council and said that the security of the country is secure, and there is no violence and insecurity except for crimes and daily traffic accidents.
Also, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development told the council that the country’s income is increasing day by day the devaluation of the Somaliland Shilling.

The Minister of Education of the Republic of Somaliland presented the National Education Policy to the Assembly.

“explained to the Cabinet and the President the National Education Act, this policy reflects the needs of the Somaliland Community in terms of Education and Knowledge at the present time, this policy is planned in a long and modern manner, and is based on the 3rd part of the National Development Plan and other policies of the Unity and Action Government. (WADAJIR IYO WAXQABAD)”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations informed the Assembly about the smooth running of Somaliland Foreign Policy, and he specifically emphasized the Somaliland Foreign Embassies Act.

“Diplomacy is the most important place for every country to protect its international interests, develop cooperation and seek the recognition that our country needs, and therefore the approval of the Foreign Embassies Act are important for the construction of a secure legal system that guides the activities of the Embassies Somaliland abroad.”
The Minister of the Ministry of Planning and National Development of Somaliland briefed the Council of Ministers on the establishment of the SDF Fund, the structure, the way it is managed, the stages it has gone through and the projects that have priority or benefit for the National Development funded by the SDF.

This project SDF Fund is responsible for the Somaliland Nation and is jointly responsible for the Government of Somaliland and the donor countries, especially in terms of economic infrastructure, health, water resources, etc that can facilitate the Government to provide the necessary services for the needs of the community”
Mr. Ali Jama Farah (Bureed), the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of the Republic of Somaliland, informed the Cabinet of Ministers about the resources in our sea and the needs of Somaliland fishermen

“the resources in our sea and Fish Reserve in our sea, Somaliland Sea contains more than 360 types of fish that can go into business but the exploitation of fish is very low, also there are challenges like Lack of equipment, lack of skills, lack of investment, lack of knowledge and without a clear national policy to guide the utilization of fish and resources in our full seas”
The Minister of Animal Husbandry and Development Omer Shuab gave information to the council as details below
- Livestock Fodder Policy completed by the Ministry
- Information on animal diseases in all regions of the country
- New Treatment Process for Our Animals.
- Completion of the Garden Study of Qool-Cadey.
- Hold the Procedure of a National Conference that will analyze the utilization of our Livestock Resources.
- Establish a complete laboratory that will examine the well-being of our animals.
- Protecting the appropriateness of public health in dairy markets.
- Animal Meat Slaughterhouse Wellness.
- Establishing a National Strategy for Animal Husbandry and Rural Development.
End of Somaliland Cabinet Meeting was approved by the Sub-Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Somaliland.
