WASHINGTON— (Horn post) U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran is expected to return to negotiations with the United States and ultimately concede to key demands, including on its nuclear program.
In an interview with Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News, Trump expressed confidence that Tehran would re-engage in diplomacy.
“I predicted they would come back, and they will give us everything we want,” Trump said, adding that U.S. negotiators had already secured “everything we need” except for Iran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
Trump also insisted that Iran has not fully withdrawn from negotiations, signaling that diplomatic channels remain open despite ongoing tensions.
During the same interview, Trump warned China of potential economic consequences, including a proposed 50% tariff, if it were to support Iran’s military efforts.
He further predicted that global oil and gas prices would eventually decline once the current conflict subsides, suggesting that market stability would follow any de-escalation in the region.
The remarks come amid heightened geopolitical tensions and continued uncertainty over the future of U.S.-Iran relations and nuclear negotiations.
