Hargeisa (hornpost.com/) The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Cirro), today inspected the work of the Immigration Forces in the capital Hargeisa.
First of all, the commander of the army, Brigadier General Mohamed Hussein Farah (Khirane) and other officers of the army, welcomed the president there, and greeted the units of the immigration force, while inspecting the building and work areas of the command.
President Abdirahman Cirro explained the important tasks of the immigration branch for the nation and the heavy responsibility they have, and he said
"All of you are responsible for monitoring the activities of the country's borders, also you are responsible for issuing visas, verifying and suspending immigration, passports and related travel documents. Other essential functions of the immigration department include maintaining border security and preventing illegal immigration, and protecting citizens' information in its database."
The president testified about the military structure and the activeness of the immigration branch and the feeling that it gave him as president, "From the first sight, your faces instilled in me a sense of vitality, enthusiasm, and a youthful spirit. It is evident that you are young, skilled, highly educated, and capable of doing the work of the Nation." President Abdirahman Cirro said.
Finally, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro praised the work of the immigration branch for their community and their patriotic efforts.
The President was accompanied by the Ministers of the Ministry of Interior, Defence, and the Mayor of the capital, the Governor of Marodi-jeh and some of the commanders of the country's army.
