Nairobi, Kenya – (Hornpost) The Chairman of Somaliland’s Ruling WADDANI Party, Hon. Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, has met with the President of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, during a formal event organized by Kenya’s ruling party and the government.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Chairman Hirsi confirmed that he and his accompanying delegation held a series of high-level meetings with senior Kenyan leaders, including members of the ruling party and Parliament.
“Today I met with the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, and Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, who hosted me at a ceremony organized by the ruling party and the Government of Kenya. My delegation and I have also previously held important meetings with senior officials from the ruling party and Parliament,” the statement read.
Chairman Hirsi added that since their arrival in Kenya, the delegation had received a warm and respectful welcome from the Kenyan government and political leaders.
According to the WADDANI Party, the visit is part of a broader diplomatic outreach aimed at strengthening Somaliland’s regional relations and advancing its ongoing campaign for international recognition through constructive engagement with governments in the Horn of Africa.
