Hargeisa (Hornpost.com) The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland Mrs. Samsam Mohamed Salah chaired a meeting in her office today Somaliland pharmaceutical policy review conference, its regulations, and licensing system for pharmaceutical wholesale companies.
During this meeting, members of the director of the various departments of the Ministry of Health Development, and the advisers of the Ministry, discussed in depth the development of regulatory procedures, ensuring the safety and quality of medicines, and finding solutions to the challenges in the field of medicine.
Also in this meeting, special importance was given to the completion of the Somaliland Medicines Act in order to find a complete law that guides the trade and importation of medicines brought to our country.
The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland Mrs. Samsam Mohamed Salah has already warned the companies that supply medicines to Somaliland which have suspended the license to deliver medicines and made it a condition to find someone who guarantees that they will not bring poor quality medicines to the nation or their time of use.

The meeting chaired today by Minister Samsam will focus on the regulation of medicines to be brought into the country to ensure their quality.
