Mogadishu (Hornpost.com) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a special meeting with the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Abiy Ahmed official visit to Mogadishu Somalia.
The Presidency of Somalia issued a press release on the meeting between the President of Somalia and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and broadcast it on Villa Somalia’s Facebook page.
“The meeting between the President and the Prime Minister was focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, economy and social affairs, strengthening the historical relationship and traditional neighborliness of the two peoples which is the basis of national self-respect and avoid interference internal affairs of any country.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Ethiopia jointly welcomed the agreement reached by the Commanders of the Somali National Army (SNA) and the Ethiopian Defense Forces (ENDF), which will strengthen the security and stability of the region they praised the beginning of the technical talks in Ankara which showed the commitment of the two countries to effective dialogue and fruitful cooperation.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Abiy Ahmed, thanked the Government and the people of Somalia for the warm welcome they received him and his delegation, and emphasized the priority that his country gives to the bilateral relations between Somalia, reflecting the interests of both countries and regional stability.
The President of the Republic, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who praised Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for his visit to the country and the fruitful talks they held at Villa Somalia, reiterated the traditional view of Somalia’s diplomacy to protect good neighborliness and self-respect nationalism and that no one is accepted for violating the unity and solidarity of the people and the Federal Republic of Somalia.”
