Djibouti (Hornpost.com) The President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omer Gouleh, has awarded certificates to 250 doctors who completed their doctoral studies for the first time in the country.

President Ismail Omer Guelleh welcomed this move and described it as a historic victory and said”Our country has marked a historic milestone by celebrating the graduation of the first 250 doctors trained in Djibouti. These professionals will play an essential role as pillars of the development of our health system; ensuring access to care for all and helping build true universal health insurance.”

The President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omer Guelleh, said that Djibouti is important for the construction of educational and training infrastructure and said “Investment in education, training, and research is critical because gray matter is a nation’s first resource. That’s why sustained efforts are being put into these sectors to ensure a prosperous future for our country.”

This celebration is also a time of great achievements for Djibouti, with the imminent launch of our second nano-satellite, a symbol of our ambition and ability to innovate. These advances reflect a vision towards autonomy and progress.

President Ismail Omer thanked the Tunisian government for the help it gave to Djibouti in the implementation of this medical school “I would like to express my gratitude to our partners, especially Tunisia, for their support in establishing a medical school in accordance with international standards. Today, this project ends costly travel for specialized care abroad, providing our nation with valuable medical autonomy.”

Finally, the President said that this victory belongs to all the people of Djibouti and he is proud of it “This day is a pride for every Djiboutian, Together, let us continues our efforts to build a stronger, resilient and self-sufficient Djibouti.”
